Deposit Policies

Clients are required to leave a minimum $150 non-refundable deposit when scheduling a tattoo appointment. Deposits will be applied to the final cost of the tattoo. For tattoos requiring multiple sessions the deposit will be credited towards the final session.

24 hour advance notice is required to reschedule an appointment or deposit will be forfeit.

Deposits act as security for the artists reserved time, as well as for their time spent on designing the tattoo. We ask that you give us ample time if you need to reschedule your appointment so we may be able to still fill the time slot for other clients awaiting to be booked.

Upon paying a deposit I acknowledge that I have communicated my tattoo design idea to my artist to my satisfaction. I understand that creating a tattoo design based on a client concept is subjective, and that variations may exist between my concept and the final design. If the finished design is not to be my liking, minor changes will be made at the artist’s discretion. However, I understand that substantial changes to the design or the request of an entirely new drawing or draft may require a new deposit, and the original deposit will be forfeited as payment for the artist’s drawing time.

We understand that you want to be involved in every step of the process in designing your tattoo, and that you may want to see a full drawing or sketch before your appointment time & day for approval after your original consult. Please be aware our shop policy forbids us from sending a drawing or sketch through text, email or allow a physical copy to leave the shop. You may absolutely reach out to see when it would be possible to come in person and check out a design before your appointment.

Any client arriving later than 30 minutes to a scheduled appointment, without having given notice to their artist in advance, is at risk of losing their deposit. Arriving unprepared for your appointment (e.g., not having proper identification) and thereby causing a delay in, or resulting in rescheduling of your appointment, failing to reschedule a new appointment within 30 days of a cancelled appointment or continuously rescheduling the same appointment will also result in loss of deposit, at the artist’s discretion.

Thank you from everyone here at Under The Needle, we look forward to working with you!
